Saturday 10/15/16 – Opening Day Pheasant

The Club is planning to provide the 4th annual season kickoff with coffee and breakfast sandwiches prior to the season open. Come meet us at the pavilion 6:45am-8:00am before shooting time!

The fall skeet field schedule will be going into affect starting on 10/16/2016. We will be moving to Sunday Mornings (from 8am-12noon) weather permitting, starting this Sunday until close of season. The regular Tues/Wed mid-week skeet will resume in the spring.

Just a reminder that the September meeting is for general membership and that it will be held on September 12th due to Labor Day.

Just a reminder that since the first Monday of the month falls on July 4th, the July meeting will be held at the clubhouse on the 11th.

Dear Sportsmen and Sportswomen:

We are happy to announce that DEEP will be hosting two Connecticut Hunting & Fishing Day events this year in celebration of Connecticut’s 150 years of natural resource conservation. The first event will be held at Franklin Wildlife Management Area in Franklin on Saturday, September 10, 2016 and the second at Sessions Woods Wildlife Management Area in Burlington on Saturday, September 24, 2016.  Both events will run from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m..  We have had as many as 1,500 people, attending in past years.  The two events will offer activities for all ages, including target shooting, 3-D archery, casting pools, field dog demonstrations, and interesting programs and workshops about hunting and fishing.  Attendees have the opportunity to speak face-to-face with DEEP staff from the Divisions of Wildlife, Inland and Marine Fisheries, Law Enforcement, Boating, and Forestry, as well as with representatives from many conservation, hunting, and fishing organizations.

There is still too much snow on the grounds this evening to run the Skeet house.
As long as it continues to melt as this rate, we should still be good for tomorrow. We will post if anything changes. -TFG

Due to the weather, the club meeting that was to be held on April 4th will be rescheduled for April 11th.
